Refund / Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: April 17, 2026.

At Chef Meelah, we value clear communication and thoughtful service. Because many of our services involve preparation, scheduling, sourcing, and custom work, the following Refund and Cancellation Policy applies.

1. Booking Confirmation

A booking or order is considered confirmed only after approval and, where required, payment of a deposit or full payment.

2. Cancellations by Client

Clients may request cancellation of a service or order by contacting Chef Meelah directly.

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • the type of service booked
  • how close the cancellation is to the scheduled date
  • whether preparation, sourcing, customization, or production has already begun

3. Deposits

Deposits may be non-refundable once a booking has been secured, especially for services involving:

  • reserved dates
  • custom preparation
  • event scheduling
  • purchased materials
  • floral sourcing
  • handmade jewelry production

If a deposit is refundable in a specific case, this will be communicated directly.

4. Catering and Culinary Orders

Because culinary and catering orders often require advance planning, food preparation, and ingredient sourcing:

  • cancellations made too close to the service date may not qualify for a refund
  • partial refunds may be considered only where preparation has not significantly begun
  • custom or large-scale food orders may be non-refundable once confirmed

5. Cleaning Services

For cleaning services:

  • cancellations made with reasonable advance notice may be rescheduled or reviewed for refund eligibility
  • same-day or last-minute cancellations may not qualify for a refund
  • missed appointments due to lack of access or inaccurate client information may be treated as completed booking time

6. Flower Services

For flower orders and event floral services:

  • fresh flower purchases and custom floral preparation may begin before the scheduled date
  • because flowers are perishable and often ordered specifically for each client, refunds may not be available once sourcing or arrangement has started
  • custom floral services may be non-refundable after confirmation

7. Handmade Jewelry Orders

Handmade jewelry orders are often customized and made to order. Because of this:

  • custom jewelry orders may not be refundable once production has started
  • changes or cancellations may only be possible before work begins
  • completed or delivered custom items are generally non-refundable unless there is a confirmed issue with the order

8. Rescheduling

Where possible, rescheduling may be offered instead of cancellation. Approval of rescheduling requests depends on:

  • availability
  • notice period
  • service type
  • preparation already completed

Additional charges may apply for urgent or repeated rescheduling.

9. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved:

  • it will be processed using the original payment method where possible
  • timing may vary depending on the payment provider or platform used
  • only the approved refundable amount will be returned

10. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may be denied in cases including but not limited to:

  • last-minute cancellation
  • confirmed custom orders already in progress
  • perishable floral purchases already made
  • missed appointments caused by client unavailability
  • incomplete or inaccurate booking details provided by the client

11. Service Issues

If you believe there is an issue with your service or order, please contact Chef Meelah as soon as possible so the matter can be reviewed fairly and resolved appropriately.
